12 x GPU RX470 open air mining rig - 367 Mhs Ethereum. Get on the crypto-currency bandwagon and earn a passive income! With cryptocurrency back on the increase again, Bitcoin is projected to break 100k USD mark by the end of this year (Max Keiser - RT report) with an all-time high and the rest of the crypto currencies follow. I have a professionally custom built 12 card AMD RX470 mining rig currently mining at 367Mhs drawing 1555w (see photos of Amp reading and Voltage with a Fluke). This mining rig has been fine tuned to maximize hash rate with lowest possible powerdraw.

Currently mining Ethereum, however can be configured to mine ALT-coins or auto swap mined Ethereum for Litecoin/Bitcoin ect. I have had this running without issues for the past year 2019, it is stable platform running ethOS(linux based kernel specialized mining software) and rock solid. The frames are stackable and I have this currently configured like this.

GPUS: 10 x Sapphire RADEON RX 470 MINING EDITION 8GB (mixed memory- Micron, Hynix) 1x Sapphire RADEON RX 470 MINING EDITION 4GB - (Samsungmemory) 1x ASUS MINING RX470 4GB (Hynix) The rig has space to host an additional card, as the motherboard will support up to 13 GPU. Currently running 12 GPU with an additional riser to support 13th card. The system runs on average at 48 Celsius and temperature is limited through the operating system ethOS to 75 Celsius, at which point the card shuts down. It throttles back and lowers power draw to decrease on temperature as it gets closer to 65 degrees Celsius.

The key to longevity on the graphics cards is limiting the heat which is done through adequate cooling and lower power draw. I have (18" and 20") industrial fans (not included) drawing cool air from the outside and circulating through built in on-board Corsair fans and then an extractor fan to remove heat. Get on the crypto mining bandwagon early rather than late when all the graphics cards are ridiculous prices again and demand outstrips supply.

A simple calculation shows that based on (date 23/08) hashrate and Ethereum mining difficulty, this rig produces. I have five more crypto mining rigs producing a total of 2250 hashes on the Ethereum network including this rig. The other rigs have more expensive graphics cards and higher hashrate than this particular system, hence the price.

Though to be honest, the ethOS support team is quite good and helpful. More photos available upon request.
