Max Efficiency 8x Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU Mining Rig Ethereum 200 MH/s @ 685W

  

This is a very stable and quiet rig that mines many different cryptocurrencies (Ethereum, ZCash, Bitcoin Gold, Monero, Vertcoin, Decred, SiaCoin, etc). I got very lucky with this build because most GTX 1060 6GB GPU's max out around 23 MH/s on Ethereum, but mine each average around 25 MH/s for a total Ethereum hashrate of 200 MH/s - some people refer to this as the "Silicon Lottery". I spent several hours tweaking the OC settings and found a sweet spot that gets 200 MH/s at only 685W total system power in SimpleMining OS on Ethereum. This is 30% more efficient than the AntMiner E3 Ethereum ASIC from Bitmain which does 180 MH/s at 800W, and it is the maximum possible efficiency for GTX 1060 GPU's. The rig comes pre-loaded with SimpleMining and the BIOS has been optimized for mining, but you can load any OS of your choice.

This rig has only been used indoors in a clean and well-ventilated environment with GPU temperatures never exceeding 55C (see SimpleMining screenshot). The cable management is optimized for maximum airflow and ease of access.
